More Miniatures I have made over the years

This is a 1/8 scale Gattling gun . on a oak and brass field carriage.  I made this from 1/2 scale drawings I purchased from RG&G.  I then rendered the drawings into Autocad and reduced it to a displayable size.  It all functions but does not shoot. The original drawings were for a 1/2 scale 22 caliber actual shooting gattling.   .Stands about 10" high, with 7" Dia. wheels.  (at this scale too small to shoot)

Gattling gun shown with the operator folding seat in raised position and the stick magazine I changed in the plans and made the new magazine holder which originally had a drum magazine on these plans.  Which was more in line with my idea of a field gun used in the old west.  The 8 barrels revolve, and the bolts move in and out when handle is cranked. The gun required a crew of 3 to 4 men to operate effectively.

rear view showing operators seat, maneuvering tail stock and colt nomenclature/patent date plate I obtained from the plans company which was a lapel pin they miniaturized from an original plate. The brass yoke the gun swivels on was once a solid piece of brass.  I machined, filed & sanded out the parts per drawings.  The swivel base was also a solid piece of brass.

The wheel, tire and hub being worked.

A 1/3 scale Winchester model 1890  22.  I made from drawings I drew up in Autocad from measurements I took from a dissembled original 1890.   (this is still in my collection)

view showing the rifle with the bolt open.

This view is of the takedown feature of the 1890. note the cartridge lifter carriage above the trigger.

this view shows a close up of the fine grained walnut stock and the steel butt plate.  the takedown screw is in-between the trigger and the hammer.

shows the detail of the rear sight and the walnut forearm on the actuator that opens the bolt.
